CRESTWOOD, MO. — The Missouri Department of Economic Development today announced that a Crestwood-based IT company is expanding its presence in Missouri. ThrottleNet, Inc., has experienced an increase in demand for its services, prompting the company to project hiring 24 new full-time jobs within the next five years.

“More and more, IT companies such as ThrottleNet are finding opportunities in Missouri to grow and succeed,” said Mike Downing, director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “ThrottleNet is providing great jobs for Missourians as well as providing much needed technology services that help other companies in our community compete in a global marketplace. The department is very proud to be a partner in their growth.”

ThrottleNet is an information technology consulting firm offering technology solutions from managed network services to cloud computing and custom software development for small- and medium-sized companies throughout the St. Louis region.

The firm is home-grown in Missouri, and since its launch in Crestwood in 1999, its customer base has grown to more than 300. Continued expansion of the company’s client base is what’s prompting the need for ThrottleNet to increase its workforce to nearly 60.

“Tech talent is critical to our growth,” said Mike Heil, ThrottleNet CEO. “Attracting talent in the region with both technical skills and problem-solving experience has been key to our success.”

To assist ThrottleNet with its expansion in Crestwood, the Missouri Department of Economic Development has offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation criteria.
