This summer, ThrottleNet made it a priority to step outside the office and into the community—showing up at events that strengthen relationships, spark conversations, and raise awareness around the importance of cybersecurity.
From golf courses to church halls to industry expos, we were proud to participate in events that brought people together while allowing us to share our expertise.
Here’s a look at the four events that defined our summer:
Sharing Cybersecurity Best Practices at Northland Community Church
Cybersecurity for Everyone
Our Director of Sales, Chris Montgomery, visited Northland Community Church to speak with the surrounding community about cybersecurity.
Practical Tips & Local Impact
Chris tailored his presentation to both individuals and businesses, offering actionable steps to protect data and stay ahead of evolving threats—making cybersecurity knowledge accessible to all.
Supporting Youth at the MOKAN Golf Tournament
Community Involvement on the Course
We joined the MOKAN Golf Tournament, benefiting youth in the MOKAN basketball program. While our day-to-day focus is on managed IT and cybersecurity, we believe in backing initiatives that invest in the next generation.
Closest to the Pin & Conversations
We provided snacks for participants and hosted a “closest to the pin” contest that drew golfers of all skill levels—some landing just a foot from the hole, others taking a more… scenic route. The mix of fun and friendly competition made it the perfect setting to connect and share how we help organizations stay secure.
Connecting with Healthcare at the Healthy KC Vendor Expo
Making a Strong First Impression
As a new member of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, we took part in the 10th Annual Healthy KC Vendor Expo. The event gathered healthcare professionals and vendors from across the region—a space where cybersecurity is more critical than ever.
Dark Web Scans & Real Talk
At our booth, we offered free dark web scans, uncovering potential risks from compromised credentials. These scans opened the door to valuable conversations about data protection, compliance, and proactive security strategies.
Building Team Spirit at Our Annual Company Picnic
A Day for Connection
Our 3rd Annual Company Picnic gave employees from all departments a chance to bring their families, relax, and enjoy each other’s company away from the office. Events like this strengthen the bonds that make our team successful, both in and out of the workplace.
Wrapping Up
We’re grateful to every organizer, participant, and attendee who welcomed us this summer. As we look ahead, we’re excited to keep building relationships, giving back, and keeping our communities informed and secure.
