Investing in the people, purpose, and impact that strengthen our community.
On Thursday, April 30, ThrottleNet, a St. Louis-based managed IT and technology services provider, had the privilege of serving as a Champion Sponsor of the Ozark Gateway Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Dinner Auction, held at First Baptist Church in Arnold.
The event brought friends, families, and community supporters together for a night of fellowship and generosity in support of an organization doing meaningful work close to home. For ThrottleNet, the evening was a chance to do something the company believes in deeply: not just talk about giving back, but actually show up for the people and causes that make our community stronger.
A Memorable Evening of Fellowship
The Dinner Auction is one of the Ozark Gateway FCA chapter’s signature fundraising events, and this year’s gathering did not disappoint. Guests enjoyed an evening of good company, spirited bidding, and a shared sense of purpose, all while raising vital funds to fuel the chapter’s mission throughout the region. The energy in the room was a testament to how much this organization means to the people it serves and to the volunteers and sponsors who make its work possible.
Voices That Brought the Mission to Life
Last fall, Laird Veatch, Director of Athletics at the University of Missouri, spoke at Como for Christ on the Mizzou campus, sharing openly about his faith and offering a heartfelt shout-out to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. At the Dinner Auction, he shared even more of that story — how FCA played a meaningful role in his own journey of faith and leadership, and how that influence now carries into one of the most visible leadership roles in college athletics.
He was joined by Reed Low, a former NHL player who spent four seasons with the St. Louis Blues, who also shared how FCA has shaped his life and faith. Together, their stories were honest, personal, and inspiring — a powerful reminder that the impact of FCA reaches far beyond the scoreboard and into the everyday lives of athletes, coaches, and families.
The Real, Lasting Work of FCA
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes exists to support and encourage athletes, coaches, and families, and the Ozark Gateway chapter carries out that mission with genuine care and consistency. The evening offered something powerful: a real, honest story of faith and leadership, a firsthand look at the impact FCA is having in our area shared by the very kids whose lives it has touched, and a room full of people committed to investing in the next generation through coaches and athletes.
The people, the purpose, and the measurable impact on the community make it clear that this organization is doing real, lasting work — the kind that changes lives well into the future.
A Company That Shows Up
ThrottleNet has always believed that being a good business means being a good neighbor. Serving as a Champion Sponsor of the FCA Dinner Auction is one expression of that belief — a way of investing in an organization that strengthens the fabric of our community. The company is grateful to support a cause that gives back so generously, and proud to stand behind a team that doesn’t just talk about community involvement, but follows through.
Here’s to the continued work of the Ozark Gateway FCA chapter — and to many more nights like this one.
