Phone Wars: The Samsung Galaxy S6 Is Ready to Launch

Samsung is making its latest assault against Apple and others in the battle for smartphone supremacy.

The new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge should be ready for purchase sometime in April.

The new phones appear to be Samsung’s most sophisticated to date, slightly larger than the iPhone 6. They even feature a larger screen and higher resolution than their Apple counterparts.

Parents: It’s Time for Your Kids to Quit Yik Yak

Parents, are your kids chatting on the Yik Yak app?  Do you realize your children could be seeing adult type material from someone within walking distance from your home?

Aguado said the content on Yik Yak can be so vile it is worth veering away from the usual business oriented discussions on TNtv to warn parents about it.

HIPAA is not just for Healthcare — Part 2

Do you understand how and when to report a HIPAA related data breach? 

In Part Two of a two-part series, Sarah Badahman, owner of HIPAAtrek, appeared on TNtv to discuss the importance of accurate reporting once a HIPAA related incident has occurred.

She said there are two sets of rules. One for breaches involving less than 500 individuals and one for those exceeding 500.

When 500 or less are involved, the breach must be reported to the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) on their website at hhs.gov/ocr/office/. A portal has been set up for this purpose. The breach should be reported by the end of the calendar year.
