When looking for an IT company, you must not only consider cost & education, but how that IT Company will respond in a disaster.  With a large team, we are well positioned to tackle any disastrous situation, even working around the clock in teams if necessary.  As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, we have a hotline at Microsoft for customer-critical situations allowing us to get the best-of-best involved until resolution.

However, we are firm believers that the best offense is a good defense.  A properly designed network should include robust backup solutions, so that if a server dies, it's a simple matter to restore it.  ThrottleNet has developed a four step approach to ensuring this.

Complicated server deployments and the necessity of high availability for network services have business managers thinking about how to recover quickly in case of a disaster, regardless if it occurs because of faulty server hardware, fire, or weather-related damage.

Utilizing ThrottleNet’s state-of-the-art, high bandwidth hosting services coupled with industry leading software from Symantec allows business’s to deploy a bulletproof backup and recovery system capable of recovering from even the worst disasters… all without costly tape media.

Step 1
Symantec System Recovery captures a system’s entire live state including all files, applications, operating systems, and settings in one easy-to-manage file, without disrupting user productivity or application usage. Incremental scheduling saves time and reduces storage requirements by capturing only the changes that were made since the last recovery point. System Recovery lets you perform a full system restoration or a complete bare-metal recovery quickly & confidently.

Step 2
ThrottleNet’s Continuous Offsite Backup provides continuous disk-based data protection for Windows servers by immediately capturing & replicating block-level file changes. By working at the block level, scheduled backup times are eliminated, and data is backed up immediately. End users even have the option of self-service file recovery by using a standard web-browser, without requiring IT intervention.

Step 3
ThrottleNet Continuous Offsite Backup Service provides a safe harbor for your backups. Utilizing the latest in backup technology, ThrottleNet maintains a continuously updated image of every data file on your network at our secure network operations center in downtown St. Louis. Powered by ThrottleNet, this is done with a minimal amount of bandwidth or system overhead and verified daily by ThrottleNet personnel.

Step 4
ThrottleNet Rapid Disaster Recovery provides the fastest possible response in a total loss situation. System Recovery images can be mounted on a ThrottleNet hosted Virtual Server to provide short-term access to lost systems until such time that new hardware can be provisioned. As the image is continuously updated, your servers can be fully recovered to a point in time just minutes prior to the disaster. With no tapes involved the restore is fast & accurate.
